Holiday at Home… Heidi’s tips for staying IN
So it feels like everyone you know is in Europe right now doesn't it. Not me, but believe it or not, I’m ok with that! We’re very lucky here in Queensland, to enjoy beautiful blue skies and winter sunshine most days. And it’s a nice time of year to nest and create holiday vibes at home.
For Me
If you’re like me and hanging out at home a bit more, it's a good time to have a little cleanse of your space. Nourish yourself and add some creature comforts to enhance your home as a place you feel rested and restored. Beautiful hand soaps by NESTI DANTE add luxe Euro feels. The beautiful body oils from BOPO are busy in my bathroom all year round, but my skin thanks me BIG TIME for this big boost of hydration throughout the winter months.

I love my home to smell amazing. ETIKETTE create gorgeous candles and diffusers, and the ‘Otways’ fragrance is reminiscent of a wholesome bushwalk. Eucalyptus, lemon myrtle, pine and bird song. Australian bush botanicals and a sense of calm and wellbeing, is gently delivered by this beautiful scent.
Table linen and cushions can change the look of your space instantly. I’m currently obsessed with the ‘Fallen Leaves’ print by KIP & CO. Its moody browns and mustards, contrasted with neon blues and greens, has a warm, lively and welcoming effect. I love living with these colours, they centre me and allow creativity to flow.
Homes full of art pieces are so intriguing. I have a habit of collecting treasures and love a creative art display... art doesn't always belong on the wall. Sharing meals using my beloved ceramic dinner plates (also by KIP & CO) celebrates the vibrant art of French-born Australian contemporary artist Mirka Mora.
Using these pieces is such a pleasure, making it easy to day dream yourself far away. We pile them high with colourful antipasto, pour the Prosecco and pretend we're in Sicily ….
